PROJECT 1: INSTRUCTABLE INFOGRAPHIC POSTER

An infographic poster for ONE recipe selected from Pasta Grannies. Study one video, break down, and chunk the preparation and cooking process into an instructable poster. Try to capture each Grandma’s personality and unique dish identity in your poster as part of the narrative structure.

These infographics present complex information quickly and clearly, with symbols charts, and diagrams. With an information graphic, computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians develop and communicate concepts using a single symbol to process information. 

• Graphs, charts, and diagrams
• Poster size: 1240 × 1750 pixels or 2048 × 2048 pixels

I chose Emma Murgioni from Pasta Grannies

from Sardegna to complete the project

Food ingredient

• Potato
• mints
• cheese
• lard
• water
• Duran

procedure

• Two kilos of potatoes
• Crush into a mixing bowl.
• Crush the mint into it.
• Add three different flavors of cheese.
• Add half potatoes and half pork in proportion, add water and 100g lard.
• Sprinkle cheese and mints on top.
• Roll out the dough into a 3mm roll. and press into a pie shape with an 8mm disc.
• Put the dumplings in a pot, cook them, remove them, sprinkle with cheese and cheese and you're done!

Reflection

In this project, we worked on creating an infographic poster for Spaghetti Grandma. We first studied a video that broke down the steps of the recipe in detail, then went through the preparation and cooking process to make it into a teachable poster. Through this project, we have not only produced a recipe poster, but more importantly, we have learned how to translate a complex cooking process into clear, easy-to-understand instructions, while retaining each grandma's unique style and dish characteristics. Exercise our graphic design and information communication ability.
