REFLECTIONS
Experiences:
In this semester, I have gained a lot of valuable experience in the study of font design and typesetting.
First, I learned how to use professional software like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Fontlab7, which play an important role in font design and typography.
Through in-depth study and practice, I have a deeper understanding of the functions and tools of these software.
Observation:
During the course of my studies, I conducted observations and research to improve my font design and typography skills.
I took a close look at different types of fonts, including serif, sans-serif, handwritten, etc., and studied their characteristics and application scenarios.
I noticed that each font has its own unique style and expression, which made me think deeply about how to incorporate these characteristics into my own designs.
In addition, I also observed different typesetting methods and layout design.
I learned how to choose the right font, size, and spacing, and how to optimize typography using factors like alignment and spacing.
I have found that proper typography can improve the readability and beauty of the text, while improper typography may lead to confusion and unreadable results.
Findings:
I made some interesting discoveries while learning about font design and typography.
First, I realized that typeface design requires patience and meticulous work.
The shape and curve of each letter needs to be precisely adjusted and balanced, which takes a lot of time and effort.
However, the effort is worth it when you see the end result.
