REFLECTION

Experiences

In Task 1, I drew inspiration for typeface design from nature through natural inspiration. Observing shape, curves, color and texture becomes a key element in the design process. The uniqueness of nature provides a unique inspiration for font design.

In Task two, by creating the key art and brand identity of my own name, I was challenged and required thoughtfulness and creativity. The process of observation and discovery helped me find the unique name logo. This creative process takes time and experimentation, and sharing the design with others and listening to feedback becomes key to continuous improvement.

In the third task, I chose blue and white porcelain patterns as the source of inspiration and learned to convert the designs into editable font files. Through observation and discovery, I found that the extension and expansion of blue and white porcelain patterns can create completely new works of art. In addition, in the process of creating fonts in Illustrator, I managed to break the original shape of the letters and create unique letters through operations such as mirroring and inverted copying.

Observation

This series of experiences and experiences has given me a deeper understanding of the creative process of design, in which observation and discovery play a key role. Through constant trial and reflection, I not only improved my design skills, but also developed a sensitivity to uniqueness and creativity. In the future design work, I will continue to apply the experience learned, and constantly challenge myself to create more creative and unique design works.

Findings

Creative discovery is a challenging but exciting process. When designing a font, you need to dig deep into your own taste and style, considering colors, shapes and patterns that match your personal or brand values. Experimentation and trying out new design elements, colors, and fonts is essential, and through different combinations, unique and impressive effects may be found. Sharing designs with others and receiving feedback is key to continuous improvement and refinement.
