Task 1 / Social Media Analytics
Weightage: 10% (Group)

Description
The purpose of this task is to help you become familiar with analytics data and metrics via tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
You will be granted read-only access to an analytics account.
You will explore the types of data, measurable metrics, and actionable insights that can inform and drive a brand or website’s design application and development.

Week 1
In the first week, we divided into groups, and I formed a team of five people with Yu xi, Zhi Ni, Siew Yong, and Cheng ze, and started working together. First, I made a brand case study on the Canon brand, but since Canon is already a mature large brand, So we need to find a suitable brand again.

Our team initially chose the oat milk brand OATLY, and I was responsible for searching for information on these three parts. However, this plan was not approved.

Our group contacted the Kasut U brand, and Kasut U also responded and provided us with relevant information.
Based on the information provided by Kasut Company, our team member Zhi Ni made a Slide and gave a presentation on behalf of our group.

Week 5 - Week 6
We started with content planning. Zhi Ni and Siew Yong were responsible for coming up with ideas.
I was responsible for finding image references and reference links for Content idea 1-14.
This week we showed our group's post progress to Mr. And our group members were assigned corresponding tasks, and I was mainly responsible for shooting our content.
Week 8 The night before the shoot, I researched the distribution of Kasut U stores in Malaysia. The main store of Kasut U is located in Muar, Malaysia, which is nearly 3 hours away from Selangor by car. So I searched for Kasut U's company in Puchong on Google Map. I found the specific location of the company and sent it to my team member Yuxi. We went to Kasut U 's Company at 2 o'clock on June 13.

Before the shooting session began, I wrote out the shooting plan on paper.
Yuxi, I and I brought a photography assistant arrived at Kasut U Company to prepare to shoot a physical sample of Kasut U.

I contacted Siew Yong, who facilitated our communication with the company's manager, allowing us to obtain official permission for the product shoot.

In this shoot, I was responsible for the main photography and Layout and lighting planning.
And my photography assistant friend and my team member Yuxi helped me with lighting, ASMR and unboxing hand modeling.

That night, I imported the pictures from the camera into my computer and selected the best ones and put them into a Drive.

Week 9
On Tuesday afternoon, we arranged to interview the founder of Kasut U at 2pm. Cheng ze, Yu xi and I went to Kasut U together. I was responsible for the interview recording from the main camera position, Yu xi was responsible for the video recording from the PPT perspective, and Cheng ze was responsible for the front light. After the recording, we filmed behind the scenes, filming the live studio behind Kasut U and the staff during the live broadcast. Finally, I filmed some highlights such as close-ups of the shoes on the feet.

REFLECTION
Experience
My main responsibilities in the team included shooting product content, researching store locations, organizing shooting activities, and participating in the preparation of content planning sheets. I was responsible for the actual shooting at Kasut U's company in Puchong. Before the shooting, I made a detailed shooting plan and coordinated with the team to ensure that everything went smoothly. On site, I was responsible for the main photography and worked with the team members who were responsible for lighting, ASMR and hand modeling. As well as being responsible for the host position during the interview recording process, I shot behind-the-scenes footage and close-ups of the shoes. And I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every team member I worked with, Zhi Ni, Yu xi, Siew Yong, and Cheng ze.
Observations
I've noticed that detailed pre-production planning has significantly improved the efficiency and professionalism of our content creation process. Teamwork between various roles such as ideation, copywriting, strategy, and design is essential to delivering cohesive and high-quality results. I've also observed that clear visual storytelling and behind-the-scenes footage help humanize the brand and increase audience engagement.
Findings
This project taught me the importance of cross-functional collaboration in social media marketing campaigns. I found that my role in photography and research not only supported the visual aspect of content creation, but also shaped the brand’s online presence. Additionally, visiting companies in person gave me insight into how to translate offline brand environments into engaging online narratives.
