INSTRUCTION
PROCESS
I joined Group 2 where I along with my group mates are to create a brand strategy for the brand, ManKnots. The details of the assignment says that we are to work together, using our abilities according to our specialisations to create a 6 month brand strategy for the brand, ManKnots. We were briefed that this brand is trying to target a customer base that fits into these two categories, "male" & "has long hair".
Our first activity and task was to conduct our individual research on men's hair care and styling industry. We compiled all our research in Miro.
With our contextual research done, we went straight into coming up with a list of questions for our two research methods, survey and interviews. In the weeks that we spent dedicated to this, we came up with this:
We received a total of 31 respondents for our survey and we conducted a total of 12 interviews. With our data, we went into Insights Discovery. Here, we listed down the various observations that we made as a result of the research methods then categorised them into key themes with the help of our lecturer, Mr Mike.
With our insight statements, we worked together to figure out the problem statement as well as the 3 how might we questions.
After receiving our feedback and adjusting accordingly, we split up into two groups with one focusing on coming up with the moodboard and eventually the art direction & the other focusing on compiling all the results of our research into presentation slides.
With the art direction and slides done, we had our first proposal meeting with the client, Mr Damien along with other groups present.

The feedback to our proposal was mostly positive with our advice being to tap more into the aspect of the effects of covid on men deciding to grow out their hair.
Final Outcome Process
After gathering to discuss our next steps, we decided to put our efforts into social media promotion as well as selling the products on a dedicated website.

REFLECTION
In the Minor Project course, our team worked together to complete the design and product launch of the “Man Knots” brand, and it was very rewarding. This experience not only strengthened our collaboration skills, but also gave us hands-on experience in brand design and marketing. From the initial concept design to the final product launch, every step of the process has been carefully discussed and rigorously executed. In the process, we learned how to communicate effectively, assign tasks reasonably, and find the best solutions when faced with challenges. Through this project, we not only improved our professional skills, but also deeply realized the importance of teamwork. These experiences will provide us with a solid foundation for future career advancement.
